What is family molding?

During the family molding process, through this special family mold, the plastic melt fills into the cavities of various parts simultaneously according to the pre-designed runner system.

For example, in the manufacturing of automotive interior parts, a family mold used for producing multiple components such as handles and storage boxes on the door interior panel enables these components to be injection molded under the same process conditions (such as the same temperature, pressure, injection speed, etc.) during family molding.
